Adopt Me has the most active trading economy on Roblox. With pets worth millions of Adopt Me Bucks and risk of getting scammed at every trade, knowing how to trade SAFELY is essential. This guide covers everything: pet values, scam tactics to spot, and safe trading practices for 2026.
Rule 1 — Know your pet's value
- Check Adopt Me Trading Values sites before any trade (AdoptMeTradingValues.com, WFL.gg)
- Pet values change weekly — always re-check
- If someone offers way over value, they're trying to scam you
- If someone offers way under, walk away
Rule 2 — Only trade in the trade window
- NEVER drop pets to "show" before trading
- Use ONLY the official trade window (4-pet slots per player)
- Always read what's in BOTH sides before clicking Accept
- Wait the full 30 seconds — scammers swap pets at the last second
Rule 3 — Watch for last-second swaps
- The most common scam: trader replaces high-value pet with low-value one in last 2 seconds
- Always re-check the trade window right before clicking Accept
- If you notice a swap, click Decline immediately
1. "Adopt Me Discord Trade" Scam
Someone DMs you "let's trade on Discord, more pets allowed." They send fake screenshots, ask you to "go first." Once you trade, they vanish. NEVER trade outside the in-game trade window.
2. "Test Server" Scam
"Come to my test server, I'll show you my Neon Shadow Dragon!" They take a video and use it to claim they own pets they don't have. No legitimate test server requires real pets.
3. The Last-Second Swap
Most common scam. Always recheck the trade window before clicking Accept.
4. "Adopt Me Generator"
Scam websites claiming to give free pets. They steal your Roblox account password. Pets only come from eggs or trades.
5. "Trust Trade"
"Give me your pet first, I'll send mine after." This is 100% always a scam. There is no trust trade in Adopt Me — only the official trade window exists.
