Ambush is a red smoke entity that resembles Rush but with key differences. The biggest difference: Ambush passes through hallways back and forth multiple times (3-5 passes typical). Players who exit hiding after the first pass die instantly.
Ambush is the most underestimated entity in DOORS. It appears on Floor 10 onwards and is often confused with Rush — but Ambush passes MULTIPLE times, killing players who exit hiding too early.

🎯 How to Survive Ambush
- Hide in locker when lights flicker
- Stay in locker for 10-15 seconds AFTER the first pass
- Wait for silence — count to 5 after last sound
- Only then exit hiding
⚠️ Most Ambush deaths happen when players exit hiding after the FIRST pass. Wait for SILENCE.
🔢 Pass Counter Strategy
Pro players count passes:
- First pass: Loud screech + flicker
- Brief silence (3-5 seconds)
- Second pass: Different direction
- Repeat 3-5 times total
Only exit when 5+ seconds of total silence pass.
