Halt is a humanoid entity that occupies the long hallway on Floor 50. The hallway contains a long stretch of dark space with periodic text commands appearing on screen. Following the text commands correctly is the only way to survive.
Halt is the Floor 50 boss encounter in DOORS. Unlike Rush or Ambush, Halt is a puzzle entity — you must obey specific text commands to survive the long hallway. One wrong move and Halt kills you instantly.

📜 The Text Rules
| Text Color | Meaning | Action |
|---|---|---|
| GREEN | Go / Move forward | Walk forward |
| RED | STOP! Don't move! | Stand still |
| BLUE | Turn around | Face the other way |
⚠️ Moving when you see RED text = instant death. Halt comes from behind.
👁️ How Halt Works
- Enter the long hallway on Floor 50
- Walk forward when GREEN text appears
- When RED text appears: STOP IMMEDIATELY
- Halt will pass by you — don't move
- When BLUE text appears: turn around and walk back
- Repeat until you reach the end door
⚠️ Common Halt Mistakes
- Sprinting through (Halt catches you even on RED stops)
- Looking away from screen and missing text
- Walking during RED text
- Not turning during BLUE text
- Trying to skip the puzzle (impossible)
💡 Pro Tips
- Keep eyes on the text: Don't look at scenery — watch for text changes
- Walk, don't sprint: Sprinting won't save you, but slow walk is safe
- Stop INSTANTLY on red: Halt is unforgiving — instant stop required
- Use audio for backup: Audio cues hint at text changes
- Crucifix doesn't work: Crucifix has no effect on Halt
- Practice on Floor 50: Multiple attempts = pattern recognition
